Economic Immigration & Taxation

Tourism is the main economic activity in St. Kitts and Nevis, due in large part to its natural beauty and favorable climate. While it continues to play an important role in the local economy, the country has set efforts toward shifting from traditional sectors into the development of export-oriented sectors and the banking sector.

One of the biggest benefits for foreign nationals is that there are no personal income taxes, estate taxes and inheritance / succession taxes. The corporate tax rate is 33% but some qualified companies can obtain tax holidays for up to 15 years and there are taxes of 10% for payments done to individuals or corporations outside of the country.
